Hi All,
My brother Danny turned me on to this website and I found this page on my own. My relationship with computers, being very tenuous, at best, makes this quite an accomplishment! I arrived at the last reunion late in the afternoon and missed seeing everyone that was there but, after 30 years, it did my heart well. I actually do agree with something that John Hartford wrote in one of his correspondences and that is that the Class of '72, and that whole Dexter experience, had a great impact on my life as well. The experiences of our growing years become ingrained memories and those memories become the basis for us to evaluate almost every situation that we encounter for the rest of our lives. Overlooking the few situations that I would like to have another go at so as to maybe adjust the outcome a bit, I personally wouldn't trade the time I spent with you guys for anything. That "Dexter" attitude makes it much easier to cope with the world as it is in our present lives. Merry Christmas to everyone and and as the first line of an Irish prayer says, "May the wind be always at your back."

Kick me in the butt for missing my flight over. From the looks of the photos that Jude has posted on the site, you guys had a great get together. I was there, but you weren't mentally fit to see me. Spent MY day at work, tried to call but couldn't get through, thought of you all anyways. Hey..it IS a goal of mine to make ONE of these things before I get a wheelchair under this "okole" of mine.
Look forward to more pictures being placed..Aloha kakou !

I too must say a giant thanks to Deb, Judy, and all the others that help make this one of the best times I have had. I was fooled by a few because I could remember a name but I was amazed by others who look as good as I still do. I still believe that this is the best class to come from DHRS and I am proud to be part of it. As I said before you have all helped in forming me into the person I am today. The loud part I did on my own but Kathy may have helped! Thanks for a great time and please do stay in touch.

Hi Everyone! Those of you who weren't able to come to the festivities WERE missed! It was fun getting re-acquainted with one and all. A BIG thank you to Judy, Debbie, Rick and everyone else who attended the meetings and worked hard to make the event happen. If anyone wants to purchase the "profile" book and find out what's been happening to 29 of your classmates, let me know as soon as possible and I'll do a second printing! The book will cost $5.00 and I'll need your mailing address. Thanks! Judy (Martin) Johnston

Oh what a nice reunion! It was a lot of fun. It was great to see so many of the faces of long ago and we missed those of you who didn't come. I'm sure all of your names came up at least once. As far as I could count, there were at least 44 classmates present, and some with their friends, mates, significant others as well. The sterling Conference Center was the best place. No public to contend with. We all had a chance to make the rounds and shared many memories and laughs. The food was wonderful and plentiful. There were many people who worked long hard hours to pull this off, and what a success it was. Excellent job gang. A very special thank you to Judy and Debbie for being willing to take on the big project and to those who were so faithful to help with all the details and for attending the meetings. I already look forward to our next reunion. It would be great to hear from you all on this website. Maybe we will see you at the next reunion. P.S. What a great looking bunch of 48 year olds. Janet

It is getting closer and you will all be able to recognize me if you read this. On the night of the 4th, one of my darling cats was frightened by the fireworks and went crazy and clawed the you know what on my face. I have a big Y mark and I know it won't go away before the 13th. Oh well, it is just like when our kids were smaller and had school pictures they always had a scrape or bad hair day. See you all in a few days.

Random thoughts from an deranged mind. Someone asked me the other day why I would want to go back to my class reunion. This persons opinion was that a class reunion was a waste of time because nobody really cares what the other people are doing. After a brief moment of relection, I stated that the reason I was attending my class reunion was this: My classmates were (are) the people that shaped my life. I am today a reflection of what these people made me. To use building terms, the class of 1972 is the foundation for what I have become. Without this class my life would have crumbl;ed like a deck of cards in the wind. We are all interconnected at the very foundation of our lives and everyone in the class of 1972 has had an effect upon my life. I now need to reconnect with that foundation and draw strength so I can face the next 50 years. That is why I am looking forward to this class reunion with such excitement. I have changed over the years of seperation but I have not forgotten my roots. I hope everyone will join us in again strengthening the bond that made us who we are today. I told you it was a deranged mind. Looking forward to sharing time with everyone. Johnny

Hi Everyone! I also am looking forward to getting together with all of you. From the sounds of John's planned inferno, we may want to 'brown bag' it!! I'm receiving lots of great biographies of what everyone has been doing the last 30 years. If yours isn't among them, GET GOING! Write it today!

To the Class of 1972. I trust everyone is spreading the word about the upcoming reunion. It should be a very good time. It has been many years since I've been to the Sterling, and I trust I will have just the same kind of time. See you all in July.

Just think, in only a few more days everyone can be standing downwind of a raging fire wondering what is happening to thier dinner. And I will just be smiling. Looking forward to seeing everyone and I just might toast an adult beverage or two to a few of you. Has anyone put a reservation in on sunny weather yet?

Great site! Perhaps the class of 1992 will follow suit and design a page. We never stop learning from our elders- maybe as we get older we just admit that we are paying attention. Cheers, Jen Craig
