Little Wassookeag Boat Tour Friday, July 23, 2004 On Saturday, July 31, as part of Dexter's Wild West Weekend, the Dexter Lakes Association has arranged for the Maine Lakes Conservancy to bring their special outfitted 30 foot pontoon boat to Lake Wassookeag in order to provide Dexter youth with an opportunity to explore the small part of the Lake (they couldn't find a launching area on the bigger part of the lake). During the ride, kids will have a hands-on experience in measuring water quality and discovering the microscopic mysteries of our lake. The boat will take three trips during the day and will accomodate 10 young people and several adults on each trip.
