Invasive Plant Species Workshop

There will be an Invasive Plant Patrol Workshop on Wednesday, August 23rd from 3:30PM - 9:00PM at the Milo Town Hall, sponsored by the Maine Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program and hosted by the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District. This 5 1/2 Hour workshop will include instruction on identifying and dealing with invasive plants, as well as provide interactive learning stations. All workshop attendees will receive the IPP Handbook, which includes a copy of the Maine Field Guide to Invasive Aquatic Plants. Menus from local restaurants will be provided so that take out dinner may be ordered, which we will deliver at the beginning of dinner break. You are also welcome to bring your own food and beverage. We will provide coffee and snacks. There will be a small charge for the workshop to cover expenses. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, August 17th as there is a minimum of 20 people required for this workshop to be held.
