Customized Intensive Program Curriculum:
TBLC will accept students for customized hands- on programs of 200 hours or more. Customized programs may be used to create needed educational credit for a Portfolio for Review or to work in cooperation with the Myotherapy Institute of Massage (MIM ) curriculum. In most cases students will be meeting the first monthly weekend mentioned above for 10 to 12 months. Reiki Certification is given as an optional weekend.
Upon passing your TBLC program, a student may combine this training with their previous bodywork training, or with their MIM independent academic study in massage, to create a Portfolio to Review by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork ( NCBTMB) or the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (MBLEx). Upon passing one of these tests, students may apply for their Maine State Licensure in Massage Therapy.
NOTE: See MIM’s, NCBTMB or MBLEx’s, catalogues/ websites for a fuller explanation of creating customized programs. Students creating their own customized programs are responsible for the required courses not taken at the TBLC
