Maine State Chapter: NWTF 30th Anniversary Box Calls
In 1977, wild turkeys were introduced back into Maine with the help of the Maine state chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Maine Department of Inland Fish and Wildlife.

Now, in 2007, with over 40, 000 birds established in various areas within the state, the Maine State chapter asked Ron Clough of Close Calls to create a special edition of 12 custom box calls to celebrate the occasion.

The calls are all numbered and limited in this special anniversary edition.

Call number one features a painted lasered gobbler in strut on the lid. Written on the lid is Maine State Chapter NWTF, 30th Anniversary , Wild Turkey Restoration, 1977 - 2007. On one side is a lasered in turkey feather, on the other side, the NWTF National logo.

This call will be raffled off this summer. Tickets are $5 each. Tickets will be sold at the 11 banquet events state wide and at the various Sportsman's shows this spring. Tickets can be purchased by mail. Checks or money orders can be mailed to : Robb Cotiaux, 91 Tufts Road, New Gloucester, Maine, 04260. Tickets must be purchased by June 30. Drawing will be in July.

Calls 2 to 12 will be auctioned off at the local chapter banquets. A schedule of these events can be accessed on this website. These calls are varnished, unpainted, but feature the anniversary message as outlined above. They do not feature the feather or logo as does call number one.
